Horizons Adult Learning Center

Welcome to Horizons Adult Learning Center. We are transitioning to a new website with MITT but in the meantime, you can find us here with SVAE, our sister school’s site! You can find our contact & location information at the bottom of this page.

Horizons Learning Centre is designed to assist learners in completing their Mature Student High School Diploma or upgrading in order to gain admission to post-secondary institutions. We have three locations:

Elmwood Location – Unit G, 431 Thames Avenue just off Watt Street
West Broadway Location – 222 Furby Street at Broadway (lower level)
St. James Location – 609 Erin Street

Our program offers daytime classes, delivered on a quarterly system (9 weeks) at each of our three sites. Optional courses offered are automated office, career development, psychology, law, family studies, physics, chemistry, biology, and global issues. Our summer school program (40S Transactional English and 40S Math Essentials) runs through July and August every year.
